I wanted to stop by to genuinely acknowledge the outstanding team at this Community Care - Hancock Center. I have several observations to share. First, there's really something to be said about how Travis County cares for their population — Healthcare is so far from being a human right in most other parts of the state and to see Central Health make this happen with little support from the State, is really an incredible accomplishment. I can't think of a greater re-purposing of a historic Sears building, than making it a center for care for any and all persons who enter this building -- It's really a beautiful setup and the space is put together nicely. What makes it particularly special however, is those who staff this clinic. Healthcare settings make me especially anxious, in fact downright triggering — I shared this with the team right away and they were completely supportive — That and the fact that I trekked thru extreme heat to get to the clinic and they made a point to acknowledge that as well. Emily and Janie showed real care and empathy about my well-being. It's those little moments that mean the most. I watched them interact with others as well in the same dignified way,

I had a 2 PM appointment and arrived on time, but I was not seen by a doctor. I was told only Tylenol was available and was sent back by RN Amber without any consultation. I was disappointed because I expected to meet the doctor and understand my condition. I kindly request better patient care in the future. I had about the best experience a sick person could have coming to this clinic. I went in at 7pm pretty hopeless as other physicians had completely blown off my issues (as the issues worsened over the course of a month and a half) and by 7:30 they had me triaged and seen by their Dr. Buddy. Shout out to Dr. Buddy he literally was like an angel and a true breath of fresh air coming in and listening to my issue and immediately working with me on a plan to get me better. I appreciated his candid and caring nature more than words can describe! Today I actually feel human and am actually able to function thanks to his care and how quickly the staff were able to get me seen.

This clinic deserves no stars at all. Service totally sucks . Sibrianna at the front desk has a very nasty attitude . She couldn’t even help me schedule an appointment for the next day . Why is she even getting a check if she’s not helping patients. Instead she’s sending people home or to another clinic . I asked for a number where I can make a complaint and she refused to give it to me ! WORST CLINIC AND STAFF EVERRRR !!!!!

I wish it has NO STARS.. Was told to come here by my nurse from braker lane cuz it has a walk in urgent care..came here to find out that they will not see me and it a walk in by APPOINTMENT only! And i cannot go to any other places to get my head looked at. TOTALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL TO ANYONE!!! Wasted my time getting dropped off and have to waits hours for my ride to come get me! It is NOT an urgent walk in care unless you have an appointment which is impossible to get!! Front desk lady was rude and didnt care about the care i needed as it was an EMERGENCY recommended by by nurse and i still got turned down for service just because they are “full” and by appointment only.. AGAIN THIS IS NOT AN IMMEDIATE URGENT CARE WALK IN.. so unsatisfied with this clinic.. will report to City of Austin for this and possibly a lawsuit since this is ridiculous!!! Lady in the front desk obviously thinks that cutting snowflakes is more important than their patients care!!!
